| Leeds United’s persistence with Peacock-Farrell will reap long-term benefits
| 3mbet Despite making a few mistakes, Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s continued role in the first-team is good news for Leeds fans. At least in the long run, that is. He is a talented young goalkeeper who will surely iron these out of his game in the next few months.
Marcelo Bielsa opted to sign Jamal Blackman on loan this summer and the seemingly sensible option would be to use him instead of Peacock-Farrell. The Chelsea goalkeeper impressed at Sheffield United last season and has more experience than Peacock-Farrell.
However, the 21-year-old Leeds academy product is highly rated 3mbet by the club and he has earned his place between the sticks. There are still question marks hanging over his performances but it is easy to forget just how young he is. At the age of 21, very few goalkeepers are in the position that Peacock-Farrell is. Due to the physical and mental demands of the role, most goalkeepers start to bloom in their mid-20s.
With first-team experience already under his belt, Peacock-Farrell is ahead of the competitors and looks destined to reach the top level. The twice-capped Northern Ireland international 3mbet has a big future for Leeds and for his country. Using Blackman may (or may not) prevent a few goals in the short-term. But Bielsa is looking to the future and blooding Peacock-Farrell in now is the sensible thing to do.
